Dorothy Bernet, MS, RDN, CPT
Dorothy Bernet is a registered dietitian nutritionist, medical nutrition therapist, certified personal trainer, and owner of Healthy 4 Life Nutrition, a nutrition counseling practice based in Santa Monica, California. Dorothy’s passion lies in wellness and disease prevention. She believes that each of us deserves to be healthy and has the ability to achieve it – with awareness and desire we learn to take care of our bodies.
Dorothy received both her Bachelors of Science in Dietetics, Nutrition & Food Science and graduated magna cum laude with her Masters in Nutrition at California State University, Northridge. Her hands-on training was completed at the Greater Los Angeles Veterans Association Hospital in West Los Angeles, CA. She has extensive experience working in the hospital, community, and private practice settings.
Over the years Dorothy has reported as a nutrition expert for a number of legal cases. She has also contributed articles and has been quoted in various publications and newspapers and had a recurring monthly column in EQUITIES Magazine, entitled “Investing in Your Health”. Dorothy has experience teaching nutrition classes to young children, as well as adults, and has consulted for a number of adult day healthcare centers.
Dorothy has earned certifications in: ServSafe Food Safety, Personal Training from the National Council of Strength & Fitness, Therapeutic Lifestyle Certification in FirstLine Therapy, and completed CDR Certificate of Training in Adult Weight Management.
